Flag at someone's death

At deaths and funerals, it is flagged on "half bar". This means that the flag must be hoisted:

• On freestanding poles for 2/3 of the height.

• On the facade bar to the middle of the bar.

When the flag is lifted, it must first go to the top and then immediately lowered to the specified height. When the flag is hauled down, it must first be hoisted in the top, and then immediately torn down. Flagging on "half bar" usually occurs on the day of the death or the day after, as well as the day on which the funeral takes place. When the funeral is completed, the flag is lifted in the top, after which it is tailed down immediately or at regular time.

Flagging on "half bar" takes precedence over general flag days.
